Ohh-stralia! My trip to Australia is five months ago. But until now I have warm thoughts about my time there. You read my articles about the west coat and Fraser Island and still hesitating to visit OZ? Well, then it's time to give you eight reasons why Australia rocks during winter time:
1. THERE ARE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL POOLS RIGHT NEXT TO THE OCEAN
I've never seen such impressive nature like during my time in Australia. Really special are the city pools in Sydney right next to the ocean. Pretty amazing, aren't they? Here I show you two pictures from Bronte Beach and Bondi Beach. Of course, they are there all year long – but during our winter time it is summer in 'Stralia. So, don't make the mistake to go there in June because it might be too cold to swim in it. But at least you'll have a nice picture without people swimming in it ;o)
2. TO HAVE BBQ AND CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS AT THE BEACH
Christmas on the fifth continent feels completely different compared to christmas here in Europe. In December it's winter time in Germany – the people from OZ are lucky to have high temperatures during our cold months. So, on that picture you see me wearing my Xmas accessories with my bikini. I highly recommend you to travel OZ in December and to have an Xmas BBQ at the beach.
3. BECAUSE OF CARIBBEAN PLACES AND LONELY BEACHES
I've barely seen so many quite and white-sand beaches with caribbean-like atmosphere and crystal clear water. It is so wonderfully relaxing to just sit there in the sand and listen to the sound of waves without anyone surrounding you.
4. TO FINALLY GET YOUR FIRST SURF LESSON
Australia and surfing are belonging together like a passion for traveling and wanderlust back home. Is there anything better than knowing at home it's cold and rainy while you're enjoying yourself on a surf board? I had my first lesson in Byron Bay with Mojo Surfing and it was so much fun. And when you're already a pro? Well, then I don't have to convince you it's totally worth it.
5. BECAUSE OF BREATHTAKING SUNSETS
I've been sitting at the beach almost every evening during my time down under. It was so peaceful and beautiful that I was addicted to these moments before the sun dips into the ocean. I really loved the sunsets in St. Kilda, Melbourne, and Coral Bay, Western Australia.
6. BECAUSE YOU WILL FALL IN LOVE WITH MELBOURNE AND SYDNEY
Exciting cities, open minded and relaxed people – Melbourne und Sydney are so thrilling to discover. I really appreciated my time there. There is so much to see and explore. These cities are worth their titles to be part of the list of the most liveable's in the world.
7. TO SEE PINK LAKES
That's no joke! Pink lakes do exist in Australia. This one I've seen in Western Australia. Isn't it your secret girly dream came true?
8. YOUR RELATION TO NATURE WILL BE DIFFERENT AFTERWARDS
After Australia is before a new life. Sounds cheesy but it's the truth. Three months of traveling really changed my mind about a lot of things. To be with yourself in the big world in a foreign country pushes you to another level of self-confidence. After my time there it is easier for me to trust in my decisions and to stand by my views.
