old clothes, worn out things, bags, skirts, shirts

This post is about what you can do with your old clothes living in Hamburg. 5 tipps what to do with your worn out things:

Container

In Germany we have charity bins. But not every bin is 100% transparent – so you cannot be sure what will happen with your stuff. Pay attention to a seal of quality – in Germany we have the "bvse" seal. More information: bvse.

"Stilbruch"

Stilbruch is a big store for "modern things from yesterday". During my student time I loved strolling around their stores and found great furniture, clothes and more for little money. You can give them your old stuff, too, but don't expect any money for it. In Hamburg there are two Stilbruch stores:

Ruhrstraße 51, 22761 Hamburg (Altona)
Helbingstra0e 63, 22047 Hamburg (Wandsbek)

Donation for Refugees

You should never forget that there are people who are doing way worse than us. Fortunately, there are a lot of donations in Hamburg – so just check out the Hamburg Page to see where and what exactly is in need.

Mädelsflohmarkt

There are a lot of flee markets – but watch out! Not everywhere you get a good price for your stuff . I really like the "Mädelsflohmarkt" in Hamburg, that's usually happening inside the "Hühnerposten". Everybody loves selling there, so it can be tough to get one of the few selling permissions. The registration link will be shown on their Facebook-page.

When you want to easily get rid of your stuff

Put together a little package (f.i. 10 pounds) and post it within the ebay classifieds section. Sell it for 10-20 Euro and only give it away to people who are willing to pick it up themselves. That way you can easily get rid of your old stuff for some cash, without investing too much time.
